Description

A no-bake, layered dessert combining a crunchy graham cracker crust, creamy whipped cream and cream cheese filling, and fresh strawberries, topped with a hint of strawberry jam and mint for a refreshing strawberry lasagna perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 package (9 oz) graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Combine crushed graham crackers, granulated sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Chill in the refrigerator to set the crust.
  2. Prepare the filling: Beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture to create a light, fluffy filling.
  3. Assemble the lasagna: Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust. Layer half of the chopped strawberries on top and drizzle with half of the optional strawberry jam.
  4. Repeat layers: Add the remaining cream cheese mixture over the strawberries. Then layer the remaining chopped strawberries on top and drizzle with the rest of the strawberry jam.
  5. Chill and serve: Cover the assembled dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld and the dessert to firm up. Slice into portions and garnish with chopped fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a firmer crust, press the graham cracker mixture firmly and chill well before layering.
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
  • The strawberry jam is optional but adds extra sweetness and enhances the strawberry flavor.
  • Chilling overnight improves the lasagna’s texture and flavor melding.
  • Can be prepared a day ahead, making it ideal for parties and gatherings.
