Description

A quick and delicious spinach and feta flatbread pizza featuring fresh spinach, crumbled feta, mozzarella, and a hint of garlic on a crispy flatbread base, perfect for an easy and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 piece flatbread

Cheeses

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Vegetables & Herbs

  • 1/2 cup torn fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 3 cloves sliced garlic

Seasonings & Oil

  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • Garlic powder (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the flatbread pizza.
  2. Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and place the flatbread on it as the base for your pizza.
  3. Add mozzarella and seasonings: Evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the flatbread, then sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper according to your taste for added flavor.
  4. Layer the toppings: Arrange torn fresh spinach, sliced red onion, sliced garlic, and crumbled feta cheese evenly over the mozzarella layer. Finish with a sprinkle of sea salt.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and bake: Lightly drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the assembled pizza, then bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the flatbread turn golden brown.
  6. Cool and serve: Allow the pizza to cool slightly after baking to let the cheese set, then slice into wedges and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute fresh spinach with baby kale or arugula for a slightly different taste.
  • Use gluten-free flatbread to make this recipe gluten-free.
  • Adding a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes before baking can add some heat.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
