Ingredients
Scale
Seafood
- 1 pound lobster meat
- 1 pound crab meat
Butter Mixture
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine ingredients: In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the softened butter with lobster meat, crab meat, lemon juice, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, fresh chopped parsley, and salt and pepper. Mix well until the mixture is uniform in texture and flavors are evenly blended.
- Form the log: Scoop the blended mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper. Use the parchment to roll the mixture tightly into a log shape, ensuring an even and compact form that will set properly during chilling.
- Chill: Place the butter log in the refrigerator and chill it for at least 2 hours. This resting time allows the mixture to firm up, making it easy to slice into neat rounds.
- Slice and serve: Once firm, remove the log from the refrigerator and slice into rounds. Serve immediately as a rich, decadent appetizer or luscious spread to accompany crackers or warm bread.
Notes
- Use fresh or thawed lobster and crab meat for the best flavor and texture.
- Softened butter is key to mixing evenly without melting the seafood.
- Adjust Old Bay seasoning and lemon juice to your taste preference.
- Serve cold or at room temperature for optimum taste and texture.
- These butter bombs can be wrapped tightly and frozen for longer storage. Thaw in the refrigerator before slicing.
