Ingredients
Scale
Meat
- 1 lb ground beef, mild or spicy
Dairy
- 18 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Vegetables & Canned Goods
- 10 oz can Rotel, drained
Condiments & Seasonings
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Garnish
- Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbly. Drain the excess grease to keep the dip from becoming too oily.
- Prepare the Creamy Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Combine Ingredients: Stir the cooked ground beef, drained Rotel tomatoes, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and shredded mozzarella cheese into the creamy base. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of all ingredients.
- Bake the Dip: Transfer the combined mixture into a baking dish. Place it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and hot throughout.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley or green onions for a fresh pop of color and flavor. Serve warm with chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, use spicy ground beef or add extra cayenne pepper.
- You can substitute the Rotel with diced tomatoes and green chilies if preferred.
- Drain the Rotel well to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
- This dip can be prepared in advance and baked just before serving.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
