Description
Delightfully sweet and creamy deviled strawberries combine fresh strawberries with a luscious cream cheese filling, making for an easy, no-bake dessert perfect for parties or a refreshing treat any day.
Ingredients
Scale
Strawberries
- 1 pound large fresh strawberries
Filling
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whipped topping or freshly whipped cream
Garnish (optional)
- 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips or crushed graham crackers
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberries: Rinse and dry the strawberries thoroughly. Slice off the green tops so the strawberries can stand upright. Cut each strawberry in half lengthwise. Using a small spoon or melon baller, carefully scoop out a small indentation in the center of each half.
- Make Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
- Fill Strawberries: Transfer the filling to a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped. Pipe the cream cheese mixture into the hollowed center of each strawberry half.
- Garnish and Chill: Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips or crushed graham crackers if desired. Chill for 20–30 minutes before serving for the best flavor and texture. Serve cold.
Notes
- Ensure strawberries are completely dry before filling to prevent the mixture from sliding off.
- These deviled strawberries are best enjoyed the same day they are made for maximum freshness.
- For a flavor variation, add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the filling for a citrusy twist.
- Optionally, drizzle with melted chocolate for an extra decadent touch.
