Ingredients
Scale
Liquids
- 3 oz. tequila
- 2 oz. Cointreau (or other available orange liqueur)
- 2 oz. cranberry juice (or cranberry juice cocktail, if you prefer)
- 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
Garnish
- Fresh rosemary sprigs (bottom leaves removed, approximately 2-3” long)
- Fresh cranberries
- Fresh lime wedges
Instructions
- Prepare Garnish: Carefully thread 3 fresh cranberries onto each rosemary sprig, ensuring you use the tougher stems at the bottom so the cranberries stay securely on the sprig.
- Mix Ingredients: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the tequila, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and fresh lime juice to it.
- Shake Cocktail: Securely close the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously to chill and combine all the ingredients thoroughly.
- Strain Drink: Strain the mixture into chilled cocktail glasses, ensuring no ice or pulp gets into the serving glass.
- Garnish Drinks: Add the prepared rosemary sprig with cranberries to each glass. Optionally, add an additional 1-2 fresh cranberries and a wedge of fresh lime for extra visual appeal and flavor.
- Serve: Present the cocktail immediately and enjoy the crisp, festive flavors.
Notes
- You can use cranberry juice cocktail if you prefer a sweeter drink.
- For a salted rim, rub the glass rim with a lime wedge and dip into coarse salt before pouring the drink.
- If fresh rosemary is not available, use a small rosemary sprig or substitute with another herb garnish such as thyme.
- Adjust the lime juice to taste for more or less tartness.
- Always use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
