Ingredients
Scale
Muffin Batter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Swirl
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Vanilla Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it with non-stick spray to ensure muffins don’t stick.
- Make Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix to maintain muffin tenderness.
- Prepare Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter. Mix well until the cinnamon sugar is evenly moistened and forms the swirl mixture.
- Assemble Muffins: Spoon muffin batter halfway into each muffin cup. Add a spoonful of the cinnamon swirl mixture on top of the batter. Using a toothpick or skewer, gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter. Then top with the remaining batter, filling each cup about three-quarters full.
- Bake Muffins: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Make and Drizzle Glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable. Once the muffins have cooled, drizzle the glaze evenly over each muffin for a sweet finishing touch.

- Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
- Adjust the glaze milk quantity to achieve desired consistency.
- For extra gooeyness, add more cinnamon swirl mixture.
- Store muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
