Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Cheeseburger Sliders featuring juicy seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and classic condiments sandwiched between soft Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for parties, game day, or a family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Rolls

  • 1 (12-pack) Hawaiian rolls

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Condiments and Toppings

  • Mayo, mustard, ketchup (as desired)
  • 12 round slices dill pickles
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare rolls: Preheat your oven to 350℉. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and arrange the bottom halves, cut-side up, on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Cook beef and onions: Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add the lean ground beef and finely diced onions. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully cooked and no longer pink. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Remove from heat once well combined.
  3. Apply condiments: Spread your desired condiments on the buns. A typical combination is mustard and ketchup on the bottom buns and mayonnaise on the top buns for balanced flavor.
  4. Assemble sliders: Place one dill pickle slice on each bottom bun. Spoon the seasoned ground beef evenly over the pickle slices. Layer the cheddar cheese slices on top of the meat. Cover each slider with the top bun halves.
  5. Add butter and sesame seeds: Brush the slider tops with melted butter to help them brown evenly and add flavor. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the buttered tops for a nutty touch and an appealing appearance.
  6. Bake sliders: Bake the assembled sliders in the preheated oven for 12-13 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are slightly golden.

Notes

  • For a spicier twist, add a dash of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
  • You can substitute cheddar cheese with American cheese or your favorite melting cheese.
  • Feel free to customize the sliders with additional toppings like tomato slices, lettuce, or pickled jalapeños.
  • These sliders are best served fresh out of the oven but can be reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
  • Use low-fat mayonnaise or cheese to make this dish lower in fat if desired.
