Ingredients
Scale
For the Beef:
- 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Bowl:
- 2 cups cooked rice or noodles (white rice, brown rice, or egg noodles)
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas, or similar)
- 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
- Sesame seeds (optional), for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Rice or Noodles: Prepare your rice or noodles according to the package instructions, then set aside once cooked.
- Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the mixed vegetables and sauté for 3–5 minutes until tender. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Beef: In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and raise heat to medium-high. Place the thinly sliced beef in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes without stirring until browned. Flip the beef slices, then add minced garlic, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook another 2–3 minutes until beef is cooked through and garlic is fragrant.
- Combine Ingredients: Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the beef. Stir well to combine and heat through for 1–2 minutes.
- Assemble the Bowls: Divide the cooked rice or noodles among serving bowls. Top with the beef and vegetable mixture. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve: Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your delicious Beefy Garlic Butter Bowl!
Notes
- Feel free to use brown rice or noodles as a healthier alternative to white rice.
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef slices briefly in soy and Worcestershire sauce before cooking.
- Use a non-stick skillet or well-seasoned pan to prevent sticking when cooking the beef.
- Add a splash of water or beef broth if the skillet becomes too dry while cooking.
- Vegetables can be swapped or supplemented with favorites like carrots, mushrooms, or zucchini.
