Description

This Air Fryer Honey Garlic Salmon recipe delivers tender, flavorful salmon with a sweet and savory glaze. Marinated in a mix of honey, soy sauce, garlic, and lemon, then quickly air fried to perfection, it’s a quick and healthy meal perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 8 ounces salmon fillet
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Marinade

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare Salmon: Slice the salmon into 4 ounce portions if desired. Optionally, remove the skin if you prefer skinless salmon.
  2. Season Salmon: Pat the salmon dry using paper towels. Season each piece with salt, black pepper, and 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder evenly.
  3. Make Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, and lemon juice until well combined. Transfer the marinade to a shallow dish.
  4. Marinate Salmon: Dip both sides of each salmon piece into the marinade. Let the salmon rest in the marinade for 5 minutes, placing the pink side down to absorb flavors fully.
  5. Air Fry Salmon: Place salmon skin-side down (if skin was left on) in the air fryer basket. Cook at 390°F for 7 to 8 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

  • Removing the skin is optional but leaving it on can help retain moisture.
  • Don’t over-marinate to prevent overly soft texture; 5 minutes is sufficient.
  • Cooking time may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model and thickness of salmon.
  • Check for doneness by ensuring the internal temperature reaches 145°F for safe consumption.
  • This recipe pairs well with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
