Ingredients
Scale
Salmon
- 8 ounces salmon fillet
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Marinade
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Prepare Salmon: Slice the salmon into 4 ounce portions if desired. Optionally, remove the skin if you prefer skinless salmon.
- Season Salmon: Pat the salmon dry using paper towels. Season each piece with salt, black pepper, and 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder evenly.
- Make Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, and lemon juice until well combined. Transfer the marinade to a shallow dish.
- Marinate Salmon: Dip both sides of each salmon piece into the marinade. Let the salmon rest in the marinade for 5 minutes, placing the pink side down to absorb flavors fully.
- Air Fry Salmon: Place salmon skin-side down (if skin was left on) in the air fryer basket. Cook at 390°F for 7 to 8 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Notes
- Removing the skin is optional but leaving it on can help retain moisture.
- Don’t over-marinate to prevent overly soft texture; 5 minutes is sufficient.
- Cooking time may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model and thickness of salmon.
- Check for doneness by ensuring the internal temperature reaches 145°F for safe consumption.
- This recipe pairs well with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
